OVERT (clear = deliberate and in plain sight) + EP (abbreviation for extended-play record), containing (broken by) S (abbreviation for stokes, a scientific unit of viscosity). In cricket, the umpire calls a no-ball when the bowler oversteps a line before releasing the ball.
