Calls from capsized sailor not getting an answer (5)

I haven't cracked this one yet — but the brilliant team at Fifteensquared have:

SE [a] MAN (sailor), without the first A (abbreviation for answer), reversed (capsized = upside down in a down clue). As in “she calls him Fred”.
