I haven't cracked this one yet — but the brilliant team at Times for the Times have:

AHA (I see) + RAN (rushed), contained by all-but-the-last of MISt (film). I’m sure I’ve made this mistake here before, but I had MAHARANaS, thinking perhaps that ‘mask’ could be film.
