The definition is "Jointly endorse". The wordplay uses a homophone (sounds like). Sounds like [over the phone] “cosine” (function). I haven’t thought about this stuff in decades but in my blog last Tuesday I had to deal with  ‘cosec’. The answer is COSIGN.
