Journalist in The Mirror claiming rehabilitation of Boris to take off (7)

I haven't cracked this one yet — but the brilliant team at Fifteensquared have:

ED (short for editor = journalist) reversed (in the mirror), containing (claiming) an anagram (rehabilitation) of BORIS . I don’t think the grammar is quite right here. You can disrobe (take off your own clothes), or disrobe someone else (take off their clothes); but I don’t think “he disrobed his coat” works, for example.
