I haven't cracked this one yet — but the brilliant team at Fifteensquared have:

LUNCH (a meal) containing A , then PAD (as in “bachelor pad” = flat = an apartment). Launch pad = an initial event or situation, for example a first public performance, from which you can go on to bigger and better things.
