I haven't cracked this one yet — but the brilliant team at Fifteensquared have:

SCULL (an oar, generally one of a pair used by a single rower) + IN , around O (zero = love in tennis scoring). Originally a servant employed to do dirty or unpleasant menial work in a kitchen (scullery); now used to mean a wicked or despised person.
