I haven't cracked this one yet — but the brilliant team at Fifteensquared have:

PL (abbreviation for place, used in streetmaps) contained in (crushed by) BIG APE (King Kong: a definition by example, indicated by the question mark). Clue-as-definition (&lit): in all three versions of the film King Kong , the big ape is taken to New York (nicknamed the Big Apple) and then wrecks the place.
