definition: ? …Chambers lists Médoc as a wine named after a region of France – I can’t link this to “Pompous” or find a different meaning wordplay: DOC is a “Pompous dwarf” in Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs , and might ask ‘Me, Doc?’ about his own identity Edit : a bit of searching found this [fifteensquared blog] of a Maskarade/Gozo FT puzzle where the same clue appeared, but with special instructions for the crossword that clues related to the theme (wine) would appear without definition – thanks also to Tim C’s comment about this
