Red piece of tree trunk seen by Seine perhaps (8)

I haven't cracked this one yet — but the brilliant team at Fifteensquared have:

Caber(=tree trunk piece) + net(=seen by Seine). I'm not sure what the second half is getting at – possibly it means a net to catch fish might be seen by the Seine. The def refers to red wine.
