Smoke from joint maiden exchanged for heroin (8)

I haven't cracked this one yet — but the brilliant team at Fifteensquared have:

S [h] OULDER (a joint), with M (abbreviation for maiden, in cricket scoring) replacing the H (slang abbreviation for heroin). Smoulder = to burn slowly, producing smoke but not flames.
