Very many backing a new deliveryperson (8)

I haven't cracked this one yet — but the brilliant team at Fifteensquared have:

MYRIAD (very many) reversed (backing), then A + N (abbreviation for new). In the UK at least, there are still a small number of companies delivering milk to the doorstep; but I think “dairyman” suggests a farmer running a dairy farm, and there probably aren’t many people who do both.
